Welcome! I am an environmental lawyer by day and avid photographer by night—or, more often, vacation. A firm believer that people ruin photos as a general rule, my preferred photographic subject is the same thing that inspired my desk job: the natural world around us. I also enjoy shooting cities and architecture, but even then I gravitate toward green spaces within urban environments.
My personal and professional lives have taken me many places, and my camera is always in tow. I lived in five other states before finally returning home to Chicago, so I was able to explore and shoot a variety of scenes right beyond my wandering front door. Additionally, I have been fortunate to travel to some amazing locations internationally, and merely telling people what we saw has never felt like enough.
Over the years, a hobby has become more. I honed my skills shooting for my college newspaper. I have licensed my photos for commercial use since 2010. More recently, when Flickr asked to feature my photos in their curated galleries and strangers began asking to purchase my work, I decided it was time to set up a website.
